Click HERE for a link to Dr. Payne's documents. Dr. Tom Payne is a professional medical physicist with over thirty-two years of experience. Dr. Payne received his Ph.D. degree in Radiation Biophysics from the University of Kansas. He is certified in Radiological Physics by the American Board of Radiology and is a Fellow of the American College of Radiology and American Association of Physicists in Medicine. Dr. Payne was a pioneer in the performance evaluation of the first CT scanners and author of many CT Physics publications. He was an Associate Professor of Radiology at the University of Minnesota where he taught x-ray technology students, medical students, radiology residents and graduate students. He has contributed to over forty referenced publications and given numerous presentations at national and international meetings. Dr. Payne has been active in several professional societies, serving on or chairing many committees, commissions and task groups. He has served as Chair of the Physics Commission of the American College of Radiology and on the Board of Directors of the American College of Radiology as well as the American Association of Physicists in Medicine. Dr Payne is an MQSA Qualified Medical Physicist and currently is the Medical Physics Consultant to over 50 mammography facilities. He is a qualified consultant in Radiation Safety, Radiation Shielding Design, and CT Performance Testing. He is experienced in Diagnostic Imaging Physics, Nuclear Medicine Physics and Radiation Therapy Physics. |
